STEFFIE is a landscape painter based in Melbourne. She has been painting and exhibiting since the 1970’s after studying a Batchelor of Fine Art, majoring in painting and printmaking. Wallace has won numerous awards in Australia and overseas and recently completed an artist-in-residency with the Bayside Gallery.

Wallace’s atmospheric oil paintings capture the ethereal beauty of the natural world, transporting viewers into a realm where reality and imagination intertwine. Through delicate brushstrokes and a limited colour palette, Wallace creates portrays the landscape in transitory weather conditions, dominated by dramatic skies, with contrasting light providing the main focus.

According to Wallace, “the sky is my artistic as well as my spiritual inspiration and the visual interpretation of changing light remains an ongoing challenge.”
